Welcome to the 12 months Doula the Doula mentorship programme!
I did my doula training course in July 2002 with BOND (British School of Nurturing Doulas) and it was a complete eye-opener for me. Not only did I learn to see things from a completely different perspective, but I also got to experience yoga and breathwork for the very first time. I'll never forget driving in the middle of the night to my very first birth, feeling super excited and worried at the same time. What if I wasn't cut out for this kind of work? Looking back over the two decades that I have worked as a doula, supporting hundreds of couples as well as training over 1,000 doulas, reading thousands of birth and postnatal stories, I am still learning.
Completing a doula training course will teach you a lot but it's only the beginning. The real learning and growth takes place on the job! You will learn so much from the clients that you'll be blessed to support and it's important to remain open and perceptive to the lessons that will come your way. I remember what it feels like when you start out and I wish that there had been a programme like this that I could have joined. The hand-holding that you'll get through this 12-month programme will help you define the authentic doula that you are, build your confidence and ensure your career as a doula gets the kick-start it deserves and is long-lasting!

How It Works
Monthly ThemeWe will work together in a group, focusing on a new theme each month. These sessions are 90 minutes long and will help expand your knowledge and develop your understanding of the doula's role.

Book ClubWe will choose a book each month to read and discuss in our private group.

One-to-One SessionEveryone on the programme will have their own private virtual one-to-one with Kicki each month. Prepare all your questions and wonders for these 45 minute sessions.

Virtual CommunityTogether we are stronger and we all have so much to learn from each other. Connect and support from Kicki and your fellow doulas can be found in the private group.

Guest SpeakersYou will have the opportunity to spend time with experts in their field as they join us to talk about various topics related to doula work.

Doula ClientsAs a member of the Doula-the-Doula programme, you will be on the list of doulas that Kicki will pass on to potential clients. There are no guarantees that you will get a client but there's every chance that you might.

Kicki On Speed-dialYou will be able to text or phone Kicki if you're with a client and would like some extra support.

AccessYou will have full access to Kicki's online Pregnancy & Parenting program.
